Eye Camp at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya

An Eye Camp was conducted  to help people check their eyesight.

The program started with a prayer. Bhargavi Didi welcomed all the guests and participants.

Bhargavi of class8 shared a Vivekavani, 

A Geet was presented by Elakshi, which added a motivational touch to the program.


Chief guest 

Sri Sudarshan ji explained why the eye camp was organized and spoke about the importance of taking care of our eyes.

Smt. Charlotte Hamel from Carl Zeiss Vision International, Germany, spoke a few kind words and appreciated the program.

Sri . Dr. Premjeeth Moodbidri from Aloka Foundation explained about the eye testing instruments. He also informed that a workshop will be conducted for teachers. In this workshop, teachers will learn how to identify students with eyesight problems and guide them properly. Certificates will be given after the workshop, and the dates will be decided soon.

The optometrists — Ms. Archana, Ms. Deepika, and Mr. Nikhil — checked the eyes of the people and provided their service and also mentioned that spectacles will be provided to the needy within 15 days free of cost.

Members of Staliya Hitarakshana Vedike also supported the program.

The villagers of Kallubalu and parents also took benefit from this eye camp.

The program ended with a vote of thanks and Shanti Mantra.
