Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kallubalu village in the out skirts of Bangalore, was started in May 2001 in Kallubalu village, to cater the educational need of around 23 villages in the vicinity.

On 5th June 2020, We celebrated World Environment Day by doing "Deepa Pooja" and planting saplings. Students of our Vidyalaya also planted saplings in their own places as a kind and responsible gesture towards a green environment.
The School Annual Day was celebrated on 11th January 2020 with great enthusiasm. The chief guest Sri C.Nagaraj (GM of "Solidus Hi-Tech Product Pvt Ltd" Bangalore) inaugurated the event. Other dignitaries like Dr.Jagdeesh Hiremat (Doctor, Suhas Hospital, Jigani, Bangalore), Sri Bhaktapriyan (Chemical Engineer, Nisarga, Consulting Engineer to all cement factories in India), Sri Ashokan (Professor) also graced the occasion. The chief guest inspired our students and also parents with his talk. Students performed in various cultural programs. Bharatanatyam, Drama, Mallakhamba were also part of the program. It was really beautiful to see LKG and UKG kids performing on stage. Overall the program was successfully concluded with great joy.
GURUPOORNIMA : On 31st Gurupoornima was celebrated.On the importance of the day Smt. Ambika delivered a speech. Students sang bhajan on Gurumahima. Flower were offered at the holy feet of the guru Vyasa by the teachers and students. Competitions were conducted for the students from UKG -7th std on guru shlokas. INDEPENDENCE DAY : On 150th August Independence Day was celebrated Sri Ravi kumar was the chief guest. He is a retired bank manager. He had worked in different banks in Bangalore and Pondichery. He unfurled the flag and took the Guard of Honour. Students did march past with bands. They received a great applause from the public. They also displayed different formations. RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATION: On 29th August Rakshabandhan was celebrated in grand way. Smt. Kaveri ( one of the teachers ) delivered a speech on the importance of Rakshabandhan.
